This intensive online mentorship, delivered via interactive video link, will provide you with a detailed understanding of how to develop advanced strength training programs.

Over the course of 8 individual mentorship sessions, you will receive 90-minute Skype calls with Coach Dale, during which the theory and application of advanced strength training programs will be explained in detail. The course content will be tailored for your level of knowledge, and to suit your clientele.

Dale will conduct an initial email consultation, to determine your level of knowledge and goals for the mentorship. This will allow the mentorship to be tailored to your exact needs. After each session, Dale will assign homework to assist in the retention and application of the information taught.

The mentorship is created to teach you how to design powerful, customized training programs. Each video call will cover a specific segment on program design. By explaining the influencing factors in selecting the right Sets, Reps, Tempo, Rest Periods, as well as Exercise selection, you will learn how to customize training programs for each and every client, maximizing results.

Each video call un-packs a new element of program design, although the course content is fluid depending on the needs of the student. Each module explains the physiological impacts of each parameter, then dives into the multiple factors that influence each change. 

We introduce you to the course content and discover your level of program design ability, before tailoring the course to your needs.

We unpack the fundamentals of strength training theory, before exploring one of the most important aspects of advance program design; Repetition selection.

You will learn how to select the appropriate repetition and rep scheme for each individual, based on factors such as the strength and training age of the client, the client’s muscle fiber make-up, exercise selection and program goal.

Coach Dale will enhance your understanding of complex rep schemes, and help you integrate advanced methods such as ascending and descending rep schemes, wave loading, stage sets and cluster training into your programs.

Exercise Selection can make your clients success, or break them, literally.

Learn how to optimize your client’s movement ability and progress, by selecting the right exercises. Discover how to determine what movements are weak and need to be prioritized, and how to design programs aimed at alleviating structural imbalances. 

Dale will provide you with comprehensive testing protocols to enable you to select the appropriate exercise battery, no matter what the client’s level.

Lastly, Dale will provide you with the exact exercise progressions that will enable your clients to obtain success, from achieving their first chin up in record time, to developing the perfect full range squat.

This module follows on from the knowledge obtained in selecting the correct repetitions and exercises, where you will learn the correct number of sets to implement for all circumstances, from developing strength endurance to enhancing maximal strength and hypertrophy. 

Along with rest periods, tempo is one of the most neglected components of advanced program design. 

Learn how the concentric, eccentric, and isometric components of each rep contribute to strength and hypertrophy development, along with how to manipulate each for maximal results. 

Rest periods matter just as much as any other loading parameter. Learn how they reflect the rep range, and exercise selection, along with how to implement changes to enhance strength increases, hypertrophy results or fat loss. 

Learn what impacts training split selection, and how and when to use them. Coach Dale will work with you to determine the right training split for your clients, no matter what their schedule or goals.

Our Online Program Design Mentorship is an 8-week, private online intensive, where Coach Dale Hansford will explain and teach the fundamentals to advanced program design. 

Tailored specifically to your level of knowledge and coaching ability, each learning point will be explained in detail, with examples specific to you and your clientele. 

Each video call is 90 minutes in length, with a comprehensive resource package accompanying each module.  Between calls, homework will be given to further help retention of the material.

If you are more experienced, the focus may be placed on utilizing advanced protocols, like dedicated eccentric and isometric training.

Many experienced coaches, whilst possessing a vast array of tools, lack a way of quantifying the many methods they have. As a consequence, programming is performed in a haphazard manner, with protocols being used without a logical system to follow.
